Due to internal promotion we have a new opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our Compliance team based on site at our Memory Lane Cakes factory in Cardiff.

Our Memory Lane Cakes site is part of our Cake Division within Finsbury Food Group. They make over 75% of the UK’s sharing cakes from retailer own brands cakes, tray bakes through to party cakes like Caterpillar cakes. They employ over 850 people on site and the sites runs 24/7, which encompasses a culture of Team work, friendly and respectful leadership and a focus on Continuous improvement at all levels.

The Technical Coordinator will report into the Compliance Manager and will be responsible for collating reports and providing insights to key technical Information for both internal and external stakeholders. They will manage our customer complaints process, capturing key data and analyzing trends, while providing a professional service end to end for our customers.

**This is what you’ll actually do**

As the Technical Coordinator you will manage the complaints process and capture data through the QADEX system for two Finsbury businesses. Coordinating relevant complaint investigations and responding to our consumers and customers. You’ll report on trending complaint data by area, business unit, customer, product and complaint type to highlight emerging areas for improvement.

You’ll also complete Customer KPI reports and scorecards fully, ensuring these are submitted on time to meet deadlines, therefore you’ll need to be organised and have experience of prioritising workloads. Also you will coordinate the site microbiological testing programs, compliant to customer COP and reporting limits and attend weekly lab meetings to discuss performance.

Clear communication and business partnering skills are key because you will train staff in lab Lims system & data trending for Memory Lane Cakes and Ultrapharm. Along with tracking of out of spec investigations and trending of micro results & report generation. You’ll coordinate the product nutritional testing programs and review of results against BOP declarations.

As the Technical Coordinator you will generation purchase orders, collate technical invoices and manage the Technical budget tracker, recording anomalies and variances. You will provide weekly cost information to Finance on all external lab testing. Along with the management of Technical consumables and sourcing and ordering stock.

You will be responsible for the management stock of gluten free test kits and equipment. Coordinating with packaging suppliers for samples from every print run and ensuring robust packaging checks are carried out on all cartons and labels. Along with supporting customer visits and audits with factory GMP and traceability exercises.

**Ideally this is you**
- Either previous experience in an administration or coordination role in a fast paced environment or a recent Graduate
- Strong IT skills in MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- You will be well organised with good planning and time management skills
- You will also possess excellent team working and clear communicating skills
- Analytical and numerical skills
