KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Being ccountable for ensuring the highest quality of care to your clients and helping them live with dignity and respect
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to your allocated team of Care Assistants
- Responsible for supervision visits and probationary reviews for all your team including supporting in disciplinary as required
- Identify training and development needs
- Carry out Home Care Assessments for prospective clients and create personalised care plans.
- Creation of weekly rotas for allocated staff and dealing with ad-hoc changes to existing rotas
- Review care plans and carry out Quality Assurance Assessments for our existing clients with support from your team
- Develop and maintain relationships with both current and prospective clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all client and staff documentation in the relevant systems
- Ensure that all written reports and administration is accurate and up to date on a day-to-day basis
- Assist in emergency cover and on call duties as required. This will include some evening and weekend work as required.

ABOUT YOU

Essential
- Relevant professional Caregiver experience
- Supervisory or Team leader experience which would be applied to this role
- Edinburgh based
- Driver with the use of your own vehicle
- Able to demonstrate effective management skills, particularly organisation, communication and time management
- Willingness to complete a SVQ 4 in Health and Social Care
- IT literate (Windows)
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs of our clients, particularly with regards to palliative care
- Adaptable to change
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Registered as a member of the SSSC

Desirable
- Experience in using scheduling software such as Careplannerand care management apps such as PASSsystem
- Experience in training staff and/or SVQ Assessing would be beneficial, but not essential
- Dog lover
- Excellent tea maker

Above all else, we are looking for someone who genuinely cares about providing client centred, palliative care and can lead and inspire our team of Care Assistants to deliver care of the highest standard.

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year
