**Sustainability Manager** **Leeds | £57,000 + Travel + Benefits**
Irwin & Colton have been engaged by a leading construction and infrastructure company to recruit a Sustainability Manager, this role will be joining the organisation on one of their major infrastructure projects, working with an experienced project deliveryteam to ensure sustainability best practice. Additionally, this role will also allow the individual to take a lead on social value, driving innovation and ideas on the project and in the local area.
Key responsibilities of the **Sustainability Manager**will include:
- Ensuring the delivery of environmental policy, and compliance with legislation and regulations across the project
- Working with Project Directors to make sure Section 61 approvals are being managed and complied to
- Constantly scanning for opportunities to drive improvements, and deliver training where required
- Lead on a range of forward-thinking environmental initiatives and projects
- Act as a main point of contact for the site environment and sustainability program with key stakeholders including clients, contractors and regulators
The successful **Sustainability Manager**requires:
- Demonstrable environmental and sustainability experience, ideally within the construction, civil engineering, or related sector
- Qualified in an appropriate environmental discipline with good knowledge of ISO 14001 and section 61 approvals
- Ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
- A passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop a career within the environmental space
