Our pharmacy department is committed to providing an innovative service that focuses on patient care and experience, and we’re currently hiring enthusiastic Senior Pharmacy Medicines Optimization Assistants to join us. This is an ideal opportunity for you to further your pharmaceutical knowledge and experience in our dynamic and diverse pharmacy team.
In this role, you’ll provide a safe and effective pharmacy service, and carry out a range of pharmaceutical technical duties that enable the pharmacy team to deliver a high level of care to patients.
You’ll work without close supervision, following Standard Operating Procedures, and produce work that meets predefined standards, making sure everything is carried out following Good Dispensing Practice recommendations. This will include team leading and training of pharmacy staff, correctly ordering medication through a variety of systems, dealing with external clinics, maintaining medical gases stock, maintaining systems of stock control, dealing with external suppliers and other healthcare professionals, control process of unlicensed medication, acting on drug recalls, accurately completing documentation for traceability, monitoring the safe and secure storage of medicines security within the department, including the robot and answering queries on the supply and availability of medicines.
