**The Role**

This role sits within the Experience and Commerce area of Merkle which specialises in Experience Strategy, Consulting, Design and Engineering. Merkle is comprised of fully specialised teams across all these areas. You will be within the UK business, head quartered out of London. We are a globally connected company with worldwide delivery capabilities giving us the strength to deliver at any scale.

We are looking for a Senior AEM Technology Consultant to work on integrated platforms delivering web and app services. Principle tools would be Content Management Systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management but with the scope to connect into Data, Personalisation and Commerce systems. Our longstanding relationship with Adobe as a Platinum partner has been a key driver for our success in the CMS space. 2021 has been the year where we began growing services with other Experience Platform technologies. We are now actively scaling the business to broaden across platforms such as Sitecore and Acquia whilst also leading the way with cloud and composable architecture solutions.

**Life as a Senior Experience Technology Consultant (AEM)**

We are looking for a Digital Consultant to work on experience led strategy, implementation, enhancement, and operation projects. You will work side by side with user experience, architecture, development, and project management teams.

Your project role will be to support the shaping and translation of objectives and requirements into defined epics. As part of this you will be designing and defining solutions with other team members to best deliver solutions for our clients and their customers with the chosen technology platforms. Our processes for delivery are well established, bringing together DevOps, task management and collaboration tools, primarily, through an agile delivery model.

Adapting to new organisational structures, project types and industry evolution is highly importantly. As such your success in this area will be through your ability to define change, build advocacy and take those around you on the journey.

You will often work across the project lifecycle; from pre-sales to workshops, through design, within development scrum teams and finally supporting client handover and training. Our engagements vary in size, so you should be comfortable working within large teams as well as flying solo on specialist consulting engagements.

The main result of our work are web and app experiences delivered through web content management systems. Proficiency with the considerations which go into such projects is an essential part of the role. Data is at the heart of Merkle’s business, so a good understanding of how data is used across CRM, personalisation, analytics, content management, ecommerce and reporting are highly beneficial.

You will share our excitement in working with clients across multiple sectors, each with their own opportunities and goals. You will lead our clients to planned destinations as well as challenging their thinking in order to get to places they were not even considering.
