You will be a suitably experienced Building General Handyman, with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience and be able to always perform work with mínimal managerial input.

You will be capable of performing activities on a range of Estate buildings and fabric and will always ensure compliance with all Trust and Statutory standards and procedures.

You will carry out their duties across the MSE sites and should therefore be able to travel under their own ability to all premises owned or run by the Trust.

You will be able to effectively communicate with colleagues, and other groups, in the safe operation of equipment and systems.

You will be required to work on building fabrics to meet the Department’s objective and be competent to undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on Trust properties in line with their technical capabilities.

You will undertake general housekeeping duties to ensure an acceptable level of workshop and plant room cleanliness. Carry out the flushing of little used water outlets and replace shower hoses and heads as instructed producing and maintaining the necessary written records identifying checks carried out. You will carry trust communication devices (mobile phone, two-way radios) when required to facilitate immediate response to emergencies.

- Meter reading
- Clean & repair desk fans
- Emergency lighting testing
- Workshop and plant room cleanliness duties
- Minor fabrication works
- General Handyman duties
- Assisting with and carrying out store person duties as required.
- To provide a fast response to occasional requests for cleaning up spillages.
- To assist craftsperson’s with more major repairs.
- To ensure good communications between management, other departments, and the Estates tea
