About the role
We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS) within our Field Services Team. QTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of QinetiQ Group PLC specialising in the design and manufacture of a range of state of the art Unmanned Aerial and Surface Target systems including the world leading Banshee target.
QTS targets are used to enable realistic weapons test and evaluation and operator training in over 40 countries worldwide with QTS providing a complete managed service in over 15 of these countries.
What will I be doing?
You will be assist ing the Equipment and Maintenance Co-ordinator in delivering well ordered, itemised and accountable stores for the Field Services team.
**Duties will include**:
Packing and unpacking of equipment from deployed field operations
Categorisation of equipment serviceable/unserviceable and storing appropriately
Updating of store systems with stock items and appropriate storing those items
Creating appropriate store locations on store systems and in the storage area, with part numbers and descriptions for a number of new locations; Battery room, Parts trollies for deployment etc
Confirmation of stores location and appropriate removal and disposal of obsolete equipment
What do I need?
You will have g ood general warehouse / stores experience, ideally in a field services environment and ideally be forklift driver trained.
**We also ask that you**:
have good IT skills
are able to remain calm under pressure
are an excellent team player who is enthusiastic and committed to the role / team
have a full UK Driving Licence
Domain knowledge of unmanned aerial targets systems including ground, target and control systems would be a distinct advantage.
