Central Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for Trimmers to work with at our well-known client, Safran Seats who are a large manufacturing business within the aerospace sector based in Cwmbran.
These are ongoing assignments within a world leading manufacturing environment and requires previous experience within a technical and sub-assembly environment.
**Duties will include**:
- Assemble and trim 2D/3D objects within the Trim department whilst maximising efficiency and reducing waste aiming to achieve OTD targets.
- To uphold the best working practices across all production areas whilst seeking to suggest and support improvement activities.
- Check supplied parts and assemblies to ensure fit, form and function, compliance to drawing, design data and all relevant quality specifications.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other departments. customers and suppliers and manage data transfer.
- Participate in team continuous improvement activities and support development of best working practice within the unit.
- Demonstrate multi-faceted manual dexterity tool skills with the knowledge of all trim materials.
- How and where these materials can be used as well as the ability to read engineering drawings.
- Excellent organisational skills, proficient at managing and prioritising work schedule.
- Proficient at using handheld trimming tools such as: scissors, snips, scalpels and various other trimming tools.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to create a flawless finish.
- Ability to work within a team and follow work instructions.
- Experience working with high end or luxury vehicles or an automotive background is advantageous.
- Flexible attitude towards working hours as overtime may be required.
**Hours of Work**:
You will be required to work a Days and an Afternoons pattern on a weekly rotational basis.
- **Days** - 6am to 2.30pm Monday to Thursday + 6am to 12pm Friday
- **Afternoons**:
- 2.30pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday + 12pm to 6pm Friday.
- You will also be required to have 2 weeks training when you first start, working a Days only shift 8am to 4pm. _
**Salary**:
£15.47 per hour, for both AM/PM shifts after training.
Overtime payable at:
- Weekday overtime is paid at 133%
- Saturday overtime is paid at 150%
- Sunday overtime is paid at 200%
£12.89 training rate
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
