**Job title**: Garden Team Leader **Location**: Botton Village, Near Danby, North Yorkshire. **Purpose**: To manage the gardens and surrounding areas to be sustainable and attractive. CLICK HERE** If so, you’d love working as the Garden Team Leader at Botton Village, in the beautiful 1,000 acre estate on the edge of the North Yorkshire moor. The post holder will lead a team of gardeners and assistants in supporting vulnerable adults attending Botton, Gardens. The role involves the line management of one full time team member and one part time, leading them to develop the gardens and working with the Social Care Lead to achieve the aims of the garden. **Can you see yourself here?** - Can you see yourself managing the gardens and surrounding areas to be sustainable and attractive. - You’ll lead a team of staff and volunteers in daily operations on site. - You will plan, prepare and deliver a programme of horticultural activities, which is inclusive of individual goals and measured outcomes for the people we support. - You have a passion for supporting people accessing the social farm/garden in achieving agreed objectives during day activities in a meaningful and safe manner. **Who are we looking for?** - You’ll need to have a recognised qualification in either horticulture and/or social care or a willingness and ability to achieve both within an agreed period. - You’ll have a good understanding and/or experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or challenging behaviour - The ability to work effectively as a member of a small team - You’ll be self-motivated, dynamic, and able to work with a high level of autonomy and without close supervision - Naturally well organised with a proven ability to manage own time and workload - You’ll have good IT skills, a full driving license (manual vehicles) and have a willingness to travel **What do we offer you?** In addition to a competitive salary, our benefits include: - 25 days annual leave PLUS 8 statutory bank holidays rising to 27 days annual leave at two years service (pro rata and accrued according to number of shifts worked). - Once you join us, you'll be eligible to benefit from "Charity Discounts" where you can enjoy reductions from lots of differing retailers and service providers. - An opportunity to ‘cash in’ one week leave a year. - Employee assistance scheme that is also available to your immediate family. - Free on-site parking. - Access to an onsite café. - Sick pay entitlement after one month service. - Pension Scheme: we contribute to a pension scheme along with your personal contributions. - Death in Service benefits: payments made to your beneficiaries should the unthinkable happen. **All our employees require a DBS criminal record check.
