**Job title**:
Kitchen Porter

**Main purpose of job**:
A kitchen porter is responsible for assisting other chefs in the department. It includes cleaning the kitchen, shopping for supplies, equipment and organising food and other items in the stock room.

**Position reports to**:
Sous Chef and Head Chef

**Location**:
The Kings Arms Hotel and The Crown Inn Hotel, High Street, Amersham, Bucks HP7 0DJ

**Salary**

Starting salary from £8-£9.50 per hour.

**Shift pattern**:
Monday-Sundays between the hours of 7am-11pm

**Main tasks of job**:

- Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills, and sinks.
- Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day.
- Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators.
- Receiving kitchen deliveries and organising them in the kitchen.
- Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, chopping boards and pans or loading the dishwasher.
- Removing kitchen waste from waste counters and disposing of them properly.
- Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots and food mixers.
- Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling, and washing food items.
- Assist with deep cleans
- Follow the companies policies and procedures

**Uniform**:
Whites to be provided by the company, non slip shoes

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £8.00-£9.50 per hour
