Newstaff employment services have an excellent opportunity for 2 x Kitchen assistants with a DBS (if possible) for our client in Dunstable.
Hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am till 1.30pm. 20 hours per week.
Position 1.duties to include.. assisting the chef with the preparation of all meals. Adhering to strict instructions given on recepies etc.
Must be health and safety conscious, have some experience with preparation of food.. washing up, cleaning the kitchen with everyone else as its a team effort after the shift.
Position 2. Serving meals to the correct portion size, being conscious of health and safety rules, checking cutlery, know what food you are serving checking that serving spoons are only used for certain disheshalal food, vegetarian, gluten free etcfillingup the serving ports, work with the chef and assistant.
Taking card or cash payments so must have used a till before, have good communication skills, basic maths and money counting knowledge.
You must be patient and considerate kind and helpful.
Preferably you will have some experience working within a school or college kitchen.
Monday to Friday 9.30 till 1.30. serving breakfasts and lunches.
£10.50 p/h 3 month contract to start with job will be reviewed end of December.
