Head of Quality for Integrated Urgent Care/111

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the development and delivery of all systems and processes for quality assurance and improvement across the integrated urgent care(IUC)/111 pathway in Hampshire and Surrey Heath, which covers a population of 1.6 million people.
The role is pivotal to ensuring all elements of the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC)/111 pathway is fully compliant with locally agreed, contractual and regulatory quality and clinical governance standards. You will be required to act as the quality lead for the joint provider and commissioner IUC/111 transformation programme across multiple providers and commissioners in Hampshire and Surrey heath and to initiate, lead and deliver a range of IUC/111 service quality improvement projects. The postholder will also be required to initiate and lead on strategies to ensure the development of effective working relationships between multiple agencies and stakeholders connected with the IUC/111 pathway.
We are looking for a Head of Quality for Integrated Urgent Care/111 Pathway to join our team to work as part of the Quality Team and work closely with Urgent and Emergency Care Team to help build and implement our IUC quality strategy.
The post holder will work closely with the ICB quality team and ICB urgent care team.
The postholder will be required to present highly complex quality information about the IUC/111 pathway to a wide range of stakeholders in both informal and formal settings.
This role is suitable for someone who is a registered healthcare professional with considerable knowledge of quality and improvement functions in healthcare. The postholder must have an understanding of the national and political context of current out of hospital healthcare policy and the implications of this for the role.

1. Job Summary
- To lead and manage the development and delivery of all systems and processes for quality assurance and improvement across the integrated urgent care(IUC)/111 pathway in Hampshire and Surrey Heath, which covers a population of 1.6 million people.
- Ensure all elements of the current and new integrated urgent care/111 pathway is fully compliant with locally agreed, contractual and regulatory quality and clinical governance standards.
- Act as the quality lead for the joint provider and commissioner IUC/111 transformation programme across multiple providers and commissioners in Hampshire and Surrey health.
- Support any procurements related to the IUC/111 pathway.
- Initiate, lead and deliver a range of IUC/111 service quality improvement projects.
- Initiate and lead on strategies to ensure the development of effective working relationships between multiple agencies and stakeholders connected with the IUC/111 pathway.
- Lead on strategies to collect and analyse patient and public feedback about the IUC/111 pathway.
1. Key Working Relationships
**The post holder will be required to**:
- Present highly complex quality information about the IUC/111 pathway to a wide range of stakeholders in both informal and formal settings.
- Work across complex partnership arrangements, engaging constructively with internal and external stakeholders on a range of innovative and contentious issues.
- Nurture key relationships and maintain networks internally and externally, including regional and national 111/IUC networks.
- Support collaborative working across large complex provider organisations and small independent local businesses across the Hampshire & Surrey Heath area.
- Provide specialist advice to support the effective management of complaints, concerns and freedom of information requests relating to the IUC/111 pathway in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Provide specialist advice to support the effective management of near misses and (serious) incidents in accordance with relevant national and local guidance.
- Support, and where required, lead on the coordination of end to end patient pathway reviews.
