An exciting opportunity has arisen for the permanent position of team leader within the Contact Team at Sandybank, Mansfield covering the 'central team'.

The team leader post is a full time (37hrs week) position. Many family time arrangements however finish on or around 6pm, therefore a degree of flexibility is required in order to support staff at the end of the day.

There is an expectation that you will manage the day-to-day needs of our central contact team and the needs of the building (oversight of maintenance and risk assessments for example).

We wish to appoint an ambitious practitioner who will undertake this challenging and rewarding role flexibly and creatively, ensuring the service promotes best outcomes and experiences for children and their families whom access our service.

We are looking for someone who has had direct experience of working with children and knowledge of child development and a good understanding of the support needs of family time. You need to work well as part of a team, being visible in the building, as well as being able to use your own initiative. You will have good written, verbal, IT (the use of Mosaic and T Mobile are required) and effective communication skills.

You will have the capacity and experience of managing people effectively and the ability to lead a team to achieve positive outcomes for children and their families, ideally within the strength based practice framework. Qualifications required are level 5 or above in management / leadership training - you may provide evidence of 'working towards' the qualification.

You will be fully supported by two team leader colleagues and be directly supervised by the Service Manager from help, care and protection services.
