**MAIN JOB PURPOSE**:
Duties of the Bathroom Fitter include to carry out and assist with all trade related tasks as a Bathroom Fitter working as (but not restricted to) part of a customer focused team. Empire Development Group is a forward-thinking organisation, ensuring that all properties are repaired, adapted and refurbished to a high standard.

As a bathroom fitter, you will be responsible for overseeing and completing all activities involved in installing and fitting bathrooms. Duties may include removing existing units and measuring up for new ones. You could also be required to follow plans drawn up by design teams and working around existing features such as hidden pipes and units.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Installation of full bathroom upgrades according to project guidance.
- Basic carpentry.
- Ceramic tiling.
- Basic painting and decorating.
- Removing and disposing of old units and suites.
- Measuring out spaces according to layout and design plans.
- Measuring and cutting out worktops.
- Using hand and power tools.
- Identifying and marking the location of hidden pipes and cables.
- Fitting new units and appliances.
- Plumbing in bathroom units.
- Tiling walls and laying flooring.
- Clearing away debris at the end of the job.
- Working at a client’s home or business, often in dusty or cramped conditions.

**WORK HOURS & BENEFITS**

The Bathroom Fitter is required to work on a full time basis, on a permanent contract or as Self-employed if preferred.

Our company operates between 8:30am to 6pm on weekdays, which is the scheduled working time. Some days might require work after hours or on a Saturday, which will be agreed as needed.

Employees receive 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year. They will earn one additional day per year after the first year with the company, with a cap at 25 days overall. Note that, if you decide to work as self-employed you are not entitled to receive paid time off.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**
- Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 within a relevant.
- Proven track record to reflect appropriate trade experience with Bathroom modification.
- Full UK Driving License.
- A good knowledge of the general building and construction industry.
- Good understanding and knowledge of basic Health and Safety.
- Experience in ordering and collecting materials and/or plant hire.
- Experience of property maintenance.
- Experience of working within the Social Housing sector.
- Be thorough and pay attention to detail.
- Knowledge of maths, building and construction.
- Able to work well with others.
- Able to work well with your hands.
- Able to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
- Design skills and knowledge.
- Able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device.

**Salary**: £11.25-£30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
