Personal Class Travel was established in 2019, and we have developed a reputation for excellent customer service, and faultless reliability. We provide a personal driver service to account holders, corporate private hire services to businesses, and driven sight seeing tours to tourists

We are seeking flexible and reliable individuals to join our team of drivers, who can help us continue our growth. This position involves driving clients to and from various locations throughout the UK in cars. Our Drivers are the face of the company, so we are interested in hiring well presented individuals with a commitment to customer satisfaction.

You will be required to be well presented and keep the vehicle in good condition at all times. Excellent customer services skills, punctuality, and discretion is required at all times.

Many of our bookings are time critical, so reliability is essential. Due to the nature of the industry we operate in, there is no fixed schedule of work, so flexibility is also required

This is a self employed position, so you will be responsible for your own running costs and paying your own income tax. The hours of work will vary depending on the needs of the company and will include a mix of early starts, late finishes and weekend work. The number of hours will also vary week to week, so this would best suit a semi retired person, or some one with other sources of income. Payment will vary depending on the type of work being carried out, and the client, but typical it is approximately £20-£25.00 per hour (before costs) which is paid weekly in arrears. After costs our drivers typically earn approximately £15.00 per hour. There is also the possibility that this could become a Full Time employed position in the future,

Essential Requirements:

- Have a valid driver's license.
- Good Geographical knowledge of South Wales, and Cardiff in particular
- Know how to drive safely in all conditions, including in winter, with kids, at night, and on highways.
- Excellent punctuality
- Excellent customer service skills

An ideal applicant will have:

- A Cardiff Council Taxi Driver Licence. This is not essential as we can assist the right applicant with this.
- A Cardiff Council Licenced Private Hire Vehicle under 5 years old or one that is suitable to be licenced. This is not essential as we can assist the right applicant source one,
- At least 3 years professional driving experience, ideally as a taxi or private hire driver in Cardiff
- An advanced driving qualification such as RoSPA Gold or similar
- Excellent knowledge of Cardiff and South East Wales, and a good knowledge of the UK as a whole
- Excellent knowledge of the main POI in South East Wales, and a knowledge of the history of the region

Not everyone can be a Personal Driver and we demand high levels of service, presentation and driving from our drivers. We are only as good as our drivers, and so to maintain our reputation and protect the future of the company, we only take on the best of the best. We demand a lot from our Drivers, and in return we offer above average rates of pay for the industry, and a share of the profits paid annually to all qualifying drivers
