P&O Ferries are recruiting for a **People Business Partner - Transformation & Change **within the People function. This role will support the People Director to deliver Cultural Transformation and a High-Performance mindset throughout the entire P&O Ferries organisation (including Europe). To work with the wider People Team to identify, initiate and own key projects that support continuous improvement within the People Function. To collaborate with the wider Marine Services Vertical and DP World Europe teams to identify and share best practice that will support the ongoing transformation and development of P&O Ferries. The role will also business partner with specific Leaders and their leadership teams as defined from time-to-time and provide operational support to the Senior People Business Partner - Operations as required. **About the role**: The People Business Partner - Transformation & Change will: - Work closely with the People Team to ensure the overarching people strategy is delivered; - Support the Functional Leaders, where required, to implement key people initiatives that support both cultural transformation and the creation of a High-Performance mindset; - Support the Senior People Business Partner - Operations and the People Business Partners - Support Functions & HR to develop the strategic people agenda for the locations/functions that they partner; - Serve as the cultural role model, continuously emphasising "Our Principles” thinking and challenging behaviours that do not align to this or our critical capabilities; - Role model a change management & continuous improvement mindset and associated behaviours; - Deputise for either of the ‘operational’ People Business Partners ensuring that there is continuity of service delivery in periods of absence, annual leave etc; - Support the ‘operational’ People Business Partners with day-to-day BAU activities; and - Support the overall People Team to identify opportunities for improvement. Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of HR policies, working with the team to find further opportunities for improvement, creating standard operating procedures and toolkits to ensure understanding, consistency and resilience. **The person - knowledge & skills**: - Proven track record as an HR Professional - preferably as a HR Business Partner; - Ability to take responsibility for workload and prioritise work; - Commercially astute with a sound P&L understanding; - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach; - Highly numerate - strong attention to detail, extremely well organised; - Strong IT and systems skills; - Ability to ‘think outside the box’; - Strong communication and influencing skills; - Sound judgement - calm logical thinker when making decisions; - Extremely high degree of energy and personal motivation - gains satisfaction from ‘influencing senior leaders’; - Confident when dealing with change and ambiguity; - Confident when dealing with unpredictable demands and conflicting personal views; - Strong inter-personal skills - demonstrates appropriate challenge/support with senior management; - Excellent relationship building, management and interpersonal skills; - Ability to gain credibility from senior line managers as a core part of their team; - HR Degree, CIPD or equivalent qualification Excellent UK employment law and Industrial Relations knowledge **The person - behaviours**: - Understands how the People Team contributes to **Delivering Growth **; - Highly **collaborative **with a desire to help create and be part of a high-performing team; - Ability to **adapt & evolve **with shifting landscapes and ever evolving challenges; - Desire to have a positive impact that **Builds a Better Future;**: - Always **Prioritising Customers **(internal & external).
