Production Supervisor

YOUR OPPORTUNITY- The role is accountable for the delivery of quality accurate data acquistion on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and also to manage the daily supply chain requirements.YOUR LEADERSHIP- As part of the management team you will be closely supporting the Gin Production Manager to deliver excellence across core performance indicators to ensure that liquid supply is aligned to demand requirements- People management of two key operators and their shift teams. Responsible for supporting development plans of these teams.**Responsibilities**:

- RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE- Assist in achieving distillery annual output targets working as one team to produce consistent spirit quality within budget and in a safe working environment.
- Take ownership of production planning and forecasting
- Place orders for all raw materials and consumables, monitoring and reporting expenditure monthly against budget.
- Manage all associated administrative work and support/act as the Gin Production Manager when needed.
- Build and maintain strong working relationship with raw material suppliers and transport companies.
- Oversee the logistics of inbound and outbound materials in line with the operations plan.
- Accountable for the governance and reporting of KPI performance across the operation
- Work closely with bulk planning team at Westthorn to ensure spirit supply.
- Align and coordinate spirit supply and raw material supply to 3rd party co-packers
- Participating in the “on call” roster.
- Assist and provide information for the financial & operational budget for the distillery.
- Accountable for Month End report and HMRC declarations.
- Participate in Bacardi communication briefings/meetings and help with development issues and other initiatives where appropriate.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of distillery operators and operations/activities by considering current work practices and suggesting alternatives where appropriate.
- To communicate clearly with the Master Distiller, Gin Production Manager, Key Operators and shift teams.
- Take action upon any Environmental, Health and Safety matter brought to their notice, and report to the relevant Manager immediately on any matter which they are unable to rectify.

People Management- Build a proactive HSE and Continuous improvement environment aligned to Bacardi standards across the site
- Build strong development programme for team to ensure appropriate skills and knowledge onsite
- Work with the Master Distiller and Gin Production Manager to produce OGSM plan for the year, develop and engage teams on clear and structured individual commitments plans for FY
- Keep track of direct reports and teams performances
- As part of management team contribute to continuous improvement of distillery operations/activities by considering current work practices and implementing alternatives where appropriate.
- Support Gin Production Manager in championing the 3Fs - Fearless, Founders, Family

Skills and Experience

- Good team facilitator with ability to work with other functions.
- Good numeric and literacy skills
- Honest, reliable, trustworthy and resilient
- Basic understanding of mechanical equipment
- Basic understanding of control systems
- Ability to work under pressure and to work on own initiative
- At least a basic knowledge of distilling operations and equipment
- University Degree (Operations, Business Management or Science Engineering Based), HND or equivalent vocational experience. Distilling Qualification not essential but preferred.
