Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join a large public sector organisation in South Tyneside. The position is a 12 month fixed term role to cover maternity, and offers flexible/ hybrid working.

The main purpose of the role will be to assists the Divisional Finance Manager to ensure the provision of a high quality financial advice and business support service to the department, as well as supporting financial management reporting and budgetary control.

Responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:

- Assisting the Finance Manager in meeting all requirements for monthly closedown and production of management reports
- Attend regular meetings with a sub-set of budget-holders to review financial management reports and agree actions
- Providing ad-hoc reports and responses to queries from budget-holders within Division, undertaking further financial analysis as necessary to resolve queries.
- Supporting the Finance Manager in undertaking detailed financial analysis of variances, skill-mixes and costing of service changes, and in production of financial forecasts

- Be AAT qualified or equivalent, and actively studying towards CCAB qualification, or with significant role experience
- Have experience of production of income and/or expenditure annual budgets and monthly management reports.
- Be able to produce monthly exception reporting for Board reports
