Clinical Research Practitioner - Band 4 Full-Time

THORACIC ONCOLOGY RESERCH HUB(TORCH)

We’re looking for a full time Band 4 Clinical Research Practitioner to coordinate and deliver clinical research studies in the Thoracic oncology Research Hub.The post holder will be required to be knowledgeable about clinical research and clinical trials, and training and support will be provided to achieve this.

You’ll be joining an award-winning and diverse team of experts at MFT who are making a difference to the future of care in the NHS by asking questions and finding out the answers.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is capable of contributing to the development of research within our Thoracic Oncology research Team Based at Wytheneshawe Hospital - Lung Health Screening Trials on a Mobile Van Unit in community,Pleural and Surgical Trials and Trials at Medical onocolgy unit.

The Team Facilitates and Supports the delivery of research within Thoracic Oncology research Team. You will work Closely with members of the Wider Thoracic Oncology Research teams, who are engaged in an extensive lung Health Cancer Portfolio.

You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent Knowledge and Experience in Clinical research. Substantially experience of working in a clinical or Patient Facing environment. Flexible approach to work Pattern.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a full time Band 4 Clinical Research Practitioner to coordinate and deliver clinical research studies at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).

If you are committed to providing high quality care to patients and helping them to make the right decisions about their treatment options, with the skills to guide and advise them throughout their research journey, this role could be for you.

The post holder will be a key member of the clinical research team. They will trained & assist in the management, co-ordination and facilitation of clinical trial activities to support delivery of current and future studies in the research team to time and target.

She/He/They will work across Lung Health Screening Studies on a Mobile Van Unit across Manchester, to support research studies across MFT site as the service as needed and will support the nursing team in Transitional research bloods ,observational studies across in Medical Oncology unit working on Clinical Trials involed in administeration of CTIMPS(chemotherapy and Immunotherapy drug Trials).

She/he/they will be expected to participate fully in their own personal development and review process in order to achieve the knowledge and skills identified in the competency framework and competencies for this post.

A car driver is essential due to potential cross site working and on Lung Health Check-up Mobile van Unit.
