Our unprecedented growth means we now have a fantastic opportunity for skilled, field-based roadside mechanics to join our Roadside Patrol team. Roadside is at the very heart of our business, as our Patrols deliver an exceptional and much needed service to our members. Unlike working in a garage or dealership, you’ll be out and about dealing face-to-face with our customers, handling breakdowns, offering technical support, and delivering the exceptional service that they've come to expect from RAC.

As a roadside mechanic you will have a level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification and the passion to help our members whilst delivering an exceptional service. In return we will offer a fully autonomous role where no two days will be the same

In the role of roadside mechanic you’ll come across a diverse range of breakdowns and technical issues, so technical expertise is a must. You will demonstrate core mechanical and diagnostic experience and of course, you’ll also need a full driving licence

As a Roadside Mechanic, you will work shifts between the hours of 6am and midnight, including weekends and bank holidays. Our effective planning means you will have your shifts up to 12 months in advance

You will benefit from a comprehensive induction, but you’ll also have access to the latest vehicle technology, along with support from our technical team.
