**The company**

This role is working for an international chilled food business which supplies high-quality products to food manufacturers, foodservice, and retail customers.

**About the Food Technologist job**
- Responsible for all day-to-day technical administration, whilst supporting the Technical Manager, customers, suppliers, and colleagues with technical issues.
- Supporting the Technical Manager in carrying out food safety assessments, audits, supplier approval and customer management.
- Ensuring product compliance to product safety, authenticity, legality, and quality
- Deputise the Technical Manager when required to meet the needs of the business.

**Skills & experience required for the Food Technologist job**
- Degree educated in food science, nutrition, food technology or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Strong experience working in a food manufacturing technical role, most ideally chilled food products.
- Experience of working with M&S, including their specifications system and implementation of COPs is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of product approval and specification management.
- HACCP Level 2 is preferred.
- Exposure in supporting internal and external audits, including retailer and BRC standards.

The Food Technologist job is based in Devon and is paying up to £35,000 according to your experience.

The package includes a company and individual KPI-related bonus, pension scheme and 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing up to 30 days with years of service).

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5.30 pm. Hybrid working ins available; you can work at home 2-3 days per week.
