**Hours: 38.5 pw**

**Salary: £26,499 - £29,241 per year**(this includes mínimal sleepover pay, with the potential for an additional £1,650 and overtime at £15.58)

We’re looking for an experienced Residential Childcare Worker to join our established team in Rutherglen. At Inspire Scotland we promote harmonious collaborative relationships between care professionals, children and young people, built on mutual respect, trust and unconditional appreciation.

We are looking for compassionate, resilient individuals who can help provide the care and continuous encouragement our young people deserve. You will work as a team, building long lasting relationships with our children and young people. You will accompany our young people to and from school or college, facilitate family contact, create a warm and comforting environment, have fun and go on days out as well as shopping, cooking, cleaning and encouraging participation in local activities and hobbies.

What you can expect from us:

- After 6 months you’ll be encouraged to complete your SVQ 3 or HNC or further qualifications

What we expect from you:

- Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people or adults or personal relevant experience and the right values to make a difference
- Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations
- Support daily living tasks, activities, medication and accompanying our young people out in the community
- Full driving licence
- Obtained, or willing to work towards HNC / SVQ 3 in Heath & Social or equivalent
