**Role: -** Test Engineer - Construction/ Mechanical

**Location: -** Hemel Hempstead

**Salary: -**Up to £30,000

**Type: -** Permanent

**Hours: -**Monday to Friday (37 hours)

**Responsibilities**:

- liaise with clients, and advise on the status of work.
- Deal with customer queries and provide technical support.
- Conduct client visits (on-site and offsite, possibly one visit a month, UK, Europe, World) as required.
- Operate in line with quality and safety procedures to ensure compliance with the organisation's and legislative requirements and the requirements of ISO 17025.
- Carry out test work in a laboratory setting.
- Collaborate and communicate with colleagues, suppliers, locations and clients to facilitate a seamless service.

**Skills/ Qualities**:

- A degree, HND or HNC in a Mechanical/Engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience in a test environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Positive customer focused approach to work and communication with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team, to tight time scales.
- Solutions orientated, support change with a can-do approach.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Knowledge or familiarity of Lean culture and tools is advantageous.
- Confident using all Microsoft programmes.
- Knowledge of 17025 is advantageous
