Inbound Warehouse Operative

Amesbury

Pay: £10.25 per hour

Overtime available

We are recruiting at our Amesbury Depot for Distribution Operatives on Afternoon shifts. Current shift patterns available are:
12:00-20:30 Wednesday to Sunday 5 on 2 off (Monday and Tuesday off)

16:00-00:30 Monday-Friday 5 on 2 off (Saturday and Sunday off)

The purpose of the role is to assist the inbound team. This can include tasks such as removing the empty milk dollies from the HGV's and wheeling them across the warehouse to the picking team, ready to be reloaded and sent back out on the next deliver. This role may also at times include manually packing milk into trolleys, moving trolleys and empty trolleys across the chill, packing milk cartons into cardboard boxes, loading and unloading inbound and outbound deliveries, working in a fast paced environment whilst maintaining knowledge of products and processes involved in the day to day delivery of goods.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Order picking using voice technology

Operating chill trolley packers and chill shrink wrappers

Loading/Unloading inbound and outbound vehicles

Stock rotation

Date code checking

Shift patterns:
06:00-16.30

Key skills and experience:
Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable

A good standard of numeracy and literacy skills

A positive thinking and self-motivated individual

An effective team member who works well on their own initiative

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work
