To establish and maintain a continuous improvement (CI) culture in ABB Coleshill by deploying a set if CI competencies. Execute the local approach to continuous improvement and strategy deployment. Facilitate best practice sharing across the plant. Work with cross functional teams to execute the strategy and escalate as necessary to remove roadblocks.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Drive improvement projects and lead project teams ensuring adherence to time schedule, quality, and cost
- Engage with the leadership to help deliver significant improvements in People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and/or Cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments
- Lead cross functional teams to drive change to meet overall safety, quality and cost metrics with a hands-on (Gemba) and problem-solving approach
- Identify potential new ways of working to continuously improve efficiency and share your knowledge/thoughts within the organization
- Providing training and coaching in use of continuous improvement tools and strategies to leadership and team members
- Track program, projects, KPIs to demonstrate progress and value to help decision makers allocate resources and recognise success
- Document and share best practices across distribution network
- Other duties as assigned by manager
**Your background**:
- IT Skills for analysis & reporting
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or other CI qualification (BITs Level 3)
- Experience of project management techniques
- Good communication skills, able to communicate successfully at all levels with the ability to separate detail from overview.
- A good basic underpinning knowledge of Health & Safety, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001
- Prior supervisory/leadership experience with the ability to train, coach, and motivate employees is preferred-Desirable
