Colin and Sue Willis took the plunge back in 1988 and started up Behind Closed Doors Limited. Starting off with only Colin and a fitters mate, making up the first ever engineering team and Sue within the office. They worked hard and long hours to reach targets with the set ambition to provide a service like no other at affordable prices for garage and industrial doors.

We are seeking someone to join our family run industrial and garage door company as a Fitters Mate.

In this role, you will install, repair, maintain, alter and cover call outs on industrial and garage doors, including carrying out site surveys and covering call outs. You will be expected to work as team with your senior industrial door specialist to ensure that projects are completed on-time with the highest level of quality and health and safety standards.

As a family run company, we pride ourselves in our customer service and level of quality in the garage and industrial door industry.

The job will involve:

- Install, repair, maintain and alter industrial and garage doors.
- Use equipment and tools necessary for the role/job.
- Communicate and conduct site surveys for our clientele.
- Cover call outs as and when required.
- Work as a team with your Senior Industrial Door Specialist.
- Communicate with the office team to ensure smooth running of projects.
- Maintaining equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient.

**Requirements**:

- No previous experience necessary as full training will be given.
- Willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Good spoken English.
- The ability to work under pressure.

- Physical abilities.
- Able to work out of hours where required.
- Full clean UK driving license essential.
- Clean criminal check (DBS) essential.

Salary - Starting rate £22,360.00 gross (pay rise on completion of probation dependant on performance) + overtime

Hours of Work - Basic 40-hour week, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday and cover call outs where required (in & out of hours).

Base - 100 miles radius from head office.
