**Job description**:
The Bus compliance co-ordinator will be responsible for managing delivery of the national target for the Bus Operator Account Management (BOAM) scheme and monitoring the accuracy and timeliness of reports submitted for both BOAM, Bus Open Data Service (BODS), Bus Service Operator Grant (BSOG) schemes and Public Service Vehicle Accessibility Regulations enforcement (PSVAR).

The post holder is responsible for the effective management of schemes and must liaise with Enforcement Delivery Managers, Enforcement Delivery Team leaders and Traffic and Vehicle examiners to ensure delivery of DVSA & DfT targets. You will be responsible for monitoring performance for each enforcement network and provide regular feedback to managers across the directorate, ensuring that quality support systems are in place to facilitate the efficient and effective delivery of services by DVSA examiners.

Great communication is key to this role and the post holder must be able to deliver targets through others and build strong internal and external relationships with Policy colleagues, office of the Traffic Commissioners and DfT, in addition to key industry stakeholders.

The post holder will be expected to attend external events and speak on behalf of DVSA, in addition to working alongside frontline colleagues to offer development and monitor consistency of standards in the field.

The BOAM scheme ensures bus operators running registered routes maintain acceptable levels of punctuality and performance.

The BODS scheme service provides timetables, bus location, and fares data for local bus services across England.

The BSOG scheme allows bus operators to claim a grant for fuel costs associated with some types of services. DVSA investigate BSOG claims on behalf of DfT, when requested.

The PSVAR scheme requires management and development of the remote enforcement process, with management responsibility for additional people determined by the National Remote Enforcement Manager.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Provide advice and specialist knowledge to examiners undertaking
the BOAM, BSOG, BODS and PSVAR activities.
- Management of complaints and correspondence in relation to bus
punctuality and passenger accessibility.
- Management of casework timescales.

**Person specification**:
**About you**

It is essential that you have experience of delivering quality casework and managing a quality service.

You must have excellent written and oral communication skills to offer advice and provide feedback or guidance to examiners and stakeholders, both internally and externally. In addition you would need to be able to use these skills to manage and respond to complaints, Parliamentary Questions, Chief executive office enquires.

A working knowledge of enforcement processes will also be needed for the role.

**Additional Information**

Regular travel, with overnight stays will be required.
