Salary: Grade CD, SCP 2 - 5 (plus SEN)

Contract Type: Established - 20.5 hours per week (four mornings and one full day), Term time only.

Start Date: 4th November 2024

We are looking for an SEN General Teaching Assistant to work part-time to support a Year 2 child on a 1:1 basis in the EYFS setting, with an EHCP with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) needs, working who is currently in Year 1 within EYFS setting.

Experience of working in a school is essential. Experience of SEND and/or working 1:1 would be an advantage, but more importantly, applicants should have a positive attitude towards teaching and learning and be fully prepared to complete any training required to effectively support the child.
- Experience of working in a school setting;
- Knowledge of child development, including social and emotional;
- A commitment to understand the needs of the child and to develop knowledge and skills to support these needs;
- High, appropriate expectations of both learning and behaviour; a desire to support children to reach their potential;
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively;
- Ability to work effectively within a team;
- Initiative and the ability to work in a proactive way;
- Punctuality and reliability;
- A willingness to support with personal care;
- Ability to liaise with external agencies and implement strategies suggested.

- Experience of supporting children with SEND, including ASD.
