Front of House Shift Leader

**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations in the front of house area, ensuring exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests in absence of FOH Manager. Your leadership will be crucial in managing staff, coordinating with the kitchen, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.

**Responsibilities**
- In absence of the Manager look after the service of food and drink in the Restaurant and the bar, ensuring a high standard of customer service is achieved.
- Set, serve and clear tables.
- Interact with customers and deliver a high standard of customer service to every person at every table.
- Promote friendly, efficient & effective relationships with all customers and team members.
- Monitor staff performance, motivate and train the team in the restaurant and the bar, to ensure duties are performed efficiently with customer service and satisfaction being a key focus.
- Look after cellar cleanliness and conduct daily checks when on duty.
- Assist with daily figures and cashing up.
- Assist Front of House Manager with line cleaning.
- Deal with orders inn absence of the FOH Manger.
- Deliver food and drink orders to our guests with fantastic customer service.
- Close and clear down the bar and restaurant, including locking all the doors.
- Change barrels and put stock away.
- Take card and cash payments for services we provide.
- Always maintain a safe environment for customers and staff. Be responsible for reporting any faults to the FOH Manager.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the Bar and Restaurant at all times.
- Maintain the standards of personal hygiene, dress and appearance as detailed by the Front of House Manager.
- Drive sales by up-selling at every opportunity.
- Carry out any reasonable request that may be made by the Front of House Manager and any other member of the management team.
- Be the first port of call for all our residents in absence of a Manager.
- Handle disgruntled customers by offering suggestions and solutions.
- Fully understand fire procedures and the fire alarm.
- Request with the FOH Manager, if any guests are not welcome and police good behaviour and culture on the premises - this also include staff drinking when of duty.
- Control Staffing at quiet times.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is essential.
- Proven team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Familiarity with food production processes and culinary practices is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on guest interaction.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in supervising or leading teams within a hospitality setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of bartending practices is a plus but not mandatory.
- High standards and an eye for detail.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.30 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
