Job Title: Hone Operator

Division: IODS Pipeclad

Hours of Work: Full-time: 37.5 hours on shifts (some flexibility required)

Salary & Benefits: £Competitive + excellent benefits package

**Job Purpose**:To support the management in the day to day running of the facility. Manage the Hone and cutting areas directly. Assist in other areas when necessary.

**Outline of Role and Responsibilities**
- Ensure the Hone and cutting equipment are ran safely and efficiently
- Ensure general housekeeping and safety of the facility is kept to a high standard
- Coordinate the receiving and dispatch of materials from the facility, ensuring all procedures are followed
- Update Progress system (ERP) with the relevant production information as required
- Ensure the production being carried out is to the production schedule/work to list
- Assist in HSE activities as required
- Assist in the coordination of labour and materials for the facility
- Assist in any continuous improvement plans that are implemented.
- Maintain the Quality standards required and report deviations in quality as required by our procedures.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Can work efficiently and effectively as both part of a team or independently
- Good communication and time management skills
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work under pressure, working accurately and with attention to detail
- Accepts responsibility and willing to take on new challenges
- Able to use own initiative and be self-motivated
- Good technical knowledge with the ability to learn new process

**Education and Experience**:

- Working in an engineering environment, welding and grinding.
- Basic PC skills.
- Ability to handle production and material movement paperwork
- Forklift/counterbalance license.
- Lifting and slinging.
