Established in 1837, we are a family-owned successful independent retail business with four stores in Hampshire. We have an opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to work in our busy Restaurant at our Romsey Department Store.

As part of the Catering Team and responsible to the Restaurant Manager, your role will include:

- Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills, and sinks.
- Cleaning the kitchen to ensure it is ready for the next day.
- Maintaining the food storage areas including freezers and refrigerators.
- Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen.
- Washing dirty kitchen and restaurant items by dishwasher and by hand.
- Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of items properly.
- Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots, and food mixers.
- Supporting Chefs in basic food preparation including cutting, peeling, and washing.
- Providing assistance to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff as needed

Attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team are crucial and flexibility within the needs of a retail-based catering operation is vital. Experience of working in a commercial kitchen would be preferred.

Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.15pm.
