The firm specialises in steel bridge, gantry and complex structure manufacturing and installation works. Project sizes that you would be involved in range from £5k up to a value of £7M.

Our purpose built manufacturing facilities offer a one stop shop for all building, delivery and installation operations.

**About the opportunity**

Due to the award of several significant contracts and company growth, we are looking to strengthen and expand our already experienced commercial team. We now have a need for a trainee Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to support the Estimating Manager and Commercial Director. Full training is offered including mentoring from experienced commercial colleagues with experience of quotations and negotiating to ensure you become a valued member of our team.

Your responsibilities over time will include the assisting of your team members with:

- Estimating steelwork
- Reading Engineering drawings
- Material Take offs
- Obtaining supplier quotations
- Drafting of quotations
- Liaising with clients to discuss the tender submissions
- Attending meetings and occasional site visits
