What you will bring to Polar:
Producing detailed drawings to attain approval from clients, and for use in manufacture and installation of windows, doors and curtain walling. This will also include processing through LogiKal to produce fabrication documents and orders to guarantee the flawless execution of all projects.
What you will be doing:
- Use AutoCAD proficiently to detail windows, doors, curtain walling from suppliers such as Kawneer, Comar etc.
- Use LogiKal/KawneerPro competently to produce fabrication documents and order information.
- Attend and contribute to internal design team meetings.
- Liaise with fabricators with any fabrication queries.
- Ensure projects are designed in-line with product/supplier manuals, recommendations and to a high quality standard.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- Own and be accountable for the design and technical aspect or your own projects from receipt of survey (or drawing pack) to installation.
- Attend site meetings when required.
- Communicate openly and honestly with all colleagues within Polar and sub-contractors, as well as clients, architects, contractors, suppliers and whomever you come into contact with.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of current project position and provide weekly reports to team.

How you will be measured:
- Issuing projects on approval and to production to deadlines.
- Accuracy of drawings and production work.
- Continuation of work booked for PolarCare site operatives.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 3 years experience as a technical designer / draughtsperson in the building facade or fenestration industry.
- Proficient use of AutoCAD is essential.
- Experience of producing fabrication paperwork.
- Experience in processing software such as LogiKal is preferred, but training can be provided.
