Senior Management Accountant Acca/cima Qualified

Opportunity to work for a 200 strong company in SE1. The role is flexible in that it can be mainly remote with a few days a month in the office or if you wish to be in the office more you can.
- Accountabilities and responsibilities Preparation of the UK entity management accounts & review of regional management accounts.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for UK entity and review of regional BS recs.
- Overseeing the billing functions and ensuring the accuracy and analysis of revenue reporting.
- Overseeing the purchase ledger and bank postings.
- Support Group FC in preparation of statutory accounts.
- Assisting in audit & tax process; liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Assist in implementation of cash flow forecasts and on-going management there-of.
- Review of VAT reconciliation and returns and other regulatory/statutory returns as required.
- Supporting the Group FC in financial planning & analysis activities including budgeting & reforecasting
- Assist in implementing robust policies & procedures across the Group to ensure a robust control environment. Some standardisation across business units will be required.
- Work with Group FC to create more dynamic use of accounting system already in place (Netsuite) and potentially new systems around analysis and planning.
- Mentoring, support and assistance in training more junior members of the Finance Team.
Main challenges
This is a hands-on role where day to day priorities may change. However, some of the items are both business critical and time critical so it is essential that these are carried out correctly and in the specified time frame.
Scope or scale The business has offices in the UK, US, HK & Singapore. Therefore, knowledge of working in a multi-currency, multi-jurisdictional environment is beneficial.
- Job knowledge, skills and experiences Degree educated.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 1 year's PQE
- Experience in a similar scale business either in professional services or financial services is beneficial.
- High level of attention to detail, methodical and thorough. Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in mentoring or junior management is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of VAT is helpful. Good awareness of corporation tax and other tax legislation would be advantageous.
- Prior use of Netsuite or a similar accounting package.
