Mansfield Pollard is currently seeing a significant period of growth and with that in mind, the business is looking to hire a Fabricator Welders to complete site installation and refurbishment works on our air handling unit and product range, across various sites nationwide.

**Basic Overview**

Working under the day to day control of the Operations Supervisor the Welder / Fabricator in conjunction with other team members will perform various engineering activities including Fabrication, assembly, install, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment.

The Welder / Fabricator in conjunction with all team member will maintain a high level of housekeeping and build cleanliness.

The Welder / Fabricator will at all time work to the companies Quality and Health & Safety policy & HR polices.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Proficient welding techniques (Mig, Tig, Arc, etc.)
- Layout, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material in accordance with engineering
- Must have a high mechanical aptitude and be able to use various mechanical hand / power tools and general engineering equipment
- Complete all ‘in-progress’ check forms and procedural paperwork
- 3-5 years of proven experience in fabricating fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
- Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with supervisors / team members
- Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

**Competencies**:

- Apprentice trained Welder / Fabricator
- Certificates in welding preferred
- Good engineering knowledge
- The ability to understand engineering drawings
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy packages and objects
- Ability to follow processes and procedure accurately
- A comprehensive understanding of safety procedures

- A good team player
- Willing to work overtime at short notice
- Able to work shifts
- Have a meticulous and efficient work ethic
- Attention to detail

**Salary**: £15.00 per hour
