Nursery Assistant

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and encouraging positive interactions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
- Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a stimulating atmosphere that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children is essential; nursery experience is highly desirable.
- A background in early childhood education or childcare qualifications would be an advantage.
- Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide children in their activities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A valid driving licence may be required for transportation purposes related to nursery activities.

Pay: Up to £12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Childcare : 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Childcare Qualification (required)
