Junior Software Developer

We are looking for a Software Developer who has a passion for delivering business value through technology. You will be working closely with the two founders and our small development team to understand business problems and create innovative technologysolutions to address those problems.
As well as our existing solutions and clients. We have some exciting solution ideas and prospects which means that there will be lots of new ideas and different areas to work on. We are constantly looking for new technologies and tools that we can use to deliveradditional value, and a large part of the role will be exploring and better understanding how those new tools and technologies could be used to bring value to our clients.
We use a wide range of technologies in our technology stack and continue to explore and expand our technology capabilities. Predominantly, our solutions are created in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and React using a cloud-native approach with a focus on buildingsolutions using a micro-services architecture built on the components provided by Azure and AWS.
**Junior Software Developer Responsibilities**:

- Working closely with the two founders and the small technology team to design and deliver AI and automation solutions to our clients using the latest cloud-based technologies
- Developing, testing, deploying and supporting the software that supports our technology solutions using methods and techniques that promote high-standards of code quality
- Working with cloud technologies through concepts such as Continuous Integration/Deployment, scripted/automated deployments and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Exploring new technologies and solution ideas to help us understand and define new business opportunities
- Participating in daily stand-ups, company retrospectives, and working closely with clients
**Junior Software Developer Requirements**:
Key Skills Required
- A minimum of 2 years commercial experience of software development using techniques that promote the creation of high-quality software solutions (such as Agile, test-driven development, object-oriented development, version control, pair programming, automateddeployments etc.)
- A passion for software development, technology and an interest in learning and keeping your skills relevant and up to date
- Eagerness to learn about AI, machine learning and data analysis
- Good analytical, problem solving, and creative skills to find the best solutions to problems
- A keen eye for detail and an understanding of the importance of high-quality software, testing and DevOps
- Good interpersonal skills
In addition, it would be advantageous if you have
- Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, SQL, HTML and/or CSS experience, Java, Node.js
- Experience of working with cloud architectures (predominantly Microsoft Azure and AWS)
- A strong understanding and background in Maths and mathematical principles
- Previous experience of developing or working with Artificial Intelligence models, Neural Nets, Decision Trees, Random Forests etc.
- An interest in helping to promote our company (by writing blog articles, posting on LinkedIn etc.)
