Clinical Administrative Officer

Clinical Administrative Officers (CAOs) provide a range of administrative support services to a group of consultant medical staff and/or other senior members of Division teams. They are expected to have advanced skills commensurate with their responsibilities. They will work substantially independently, providing support of the highest quality, and taking leadership in their professional areas.
To provide administrative services to senior clinical staff. This will include booking patients for theatre, liaising with patients on the telephone and note taking if appropriate.
To action complex instructions from consultant medical staff. To receive patient queries and communicate with patients.
To monitor outstanding results for patients and action.
To ensure compliance with 18 week RTT and chase up relevant tests.
