Prominent and long-standing Kent/London border firm with a new leadership team and focus on modernisation and growth, now has a wonderful opportunity for a high calibre and experienced Private Client Manager.

You will be working within the Tax team, reporting directly to the Tax Partner. Hybrid

working arrangements are offered.

**Main purpose of role**:
Providing an efficient and proactive tax service for a variety of clients:

- ensuring their tax compliance needs are fully met on a timely basis and in an efficient

manner
- being proactive in providing advisory services, which entails building good client

relationships and building an understanding of their circumstances
- providing advisory support to other departments and clients, across employment and

personal taxes

**Key responsibilities**:

- Have oversight of all personal tax clients across your allocated portfolio, keeping the

Tax Partner regularly informed on any work in progress and escalating any issues.
- Be responsible for all day to day tax compliance affairs of the clients in your portfolio, ensuring

professional standards are met.
- Identify and consult with colleagues and the Tax Partner on complex technical and risk matters,

whilst exercising judgement within agreed parameters.
- Agree fees with clients for compliance and advisory work, ensure timely client billings and cash
- Understand and adhere to cost budgets and meet reporting deadlines.
- Develop professional relationships with clients and within the firm.
- Support the marketing and development of the firm’s services and identify selling opportunities

within existing client accounts.
- Coach and mentor more junior members of the team, reviewing work and managing

professional and performance standards.

**Key skills and abilities**
- A solid tax background and a good understanding of personal income tax, capital gains tax and

general shareholder tax issues, including experience of working with the tax affairs of HNWI.

Some understanding of inheritance tax, company tax, VAT.
- CTA/ATT and/or ACCA/ACA qualified.
- Competent and confident on complex and routine work without generating significant review
- Good knowledge of a tax compliance product - CCH as well as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and
- Willingness and ability to learn and implement new systems and technologies, including

document management, team working software.
- Ability to work on own initiative and provide an efficient and proactive service to clients.
- Ability to work remotely as required.
- A professional attitude, able to work effectively as part of a team and develop good working

relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and disciplined approach to work
