**Salary**:SCP4 £21,189 (£18,645 actual salary in line with TT+13 days)

**Contract: Term time, plus 13 days **(includes insets) Temporary maternity cover ending on the return of the substantive post holder

**Hours: 37 hours per week (08:00 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 15:30 Friday)**

The Pastoral Team at St Aidan’s Catholic Academy has an important role to play in the smooth running and success of the school. As a Pastoral Administrator you will be the first contact point for parents in a fast-paced role. We are looking for an individual who is adaptable, flexible and able to navigate changes quickly and effectively.

**Main purposes of the job**
- To support the Heads of Houses and the Attendance Officer in all pupil related administrative matters.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Provide general clerical support including clerical processes, word processing, IT Based tasks requiring knowledge of various ICT packages and operation of office equipment;
- Maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems;
- Support Senior Assistant Headteacher during Admissions process;
- Issue letters to parents on behalf of the Senior Assistant Headteacher and the Heads of House (Ashbrooke, Brookfield, Corby) and the Attendance Officer;
- Send daily alerts to parents as required including detention information, information re catch up sessions, details of pupils who fail to attend peripatetic music lessons or schools;
- Provide administrative support at Parent Evenings’ and other Open Evenings as requested and collate parental feedback following these events;
- Deal with parental enquiries either by telephone or those enquiries received on School Comms;
- To be the point of contact for pupils who have no lunch credit: issue slips allowing them access to the canteen, inform parents that slips have been issued and actively chase where meal accounts are in arrears;
- To be the first point of contact for sick pupils, and to liaise with parents/carers and staff when dealing with sick pupils;
- Maintain records for, and issue student medication;
- Assist with arrangements for school visits and events;
- Maintain stocks and supplies, selling and distributing as required;
- Maintain lost property
- To work as part of a team and ensure all relevant tasks are completed in allotted time;
- To undertake broadly similar duties commensurate with the level of the post as required by the appointed person and if time allows;
- To adhere to all the agreed school policies and the Academy’s Code of Conduct;
- To actively participate in any appropriate training.
