About you:
We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Early Years Educator who will work in partnership with the Senior EYE and Nursery Managers to ensure the daily running of the nursery, adhering to the Policies & Procedures of the Setting and Storal Learning and in compliance with the Children Act, Health and Safety legislation and within the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

You will help to encourage children’s development, independence, self-reliance, initiative and problem-solving skills by working in a way that promotes inclusivity of all children by ensuring all have equal access to opportunities to learn, develop and reach their potential.

Main responsibilities
- Ensures that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Observes, supports and extends children’s learning with high quality teaching;
- Appropriately plans individual learning experiences for children under the EYFS curriculum;
- Take on key person responsibilities for a group of children;
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date children’s records;
- Builds and maintains an effective partnership with parents.

Specific measures of success:

- Individual care: Ensures every child experience a safe and stimulating nursery experience based on their individual needs;
- Record keeping: Always ensures children’s records are up to date;
- Career growth: Demonstrates the ability and motivation to become a Senior Nursery Practitioner;
- Parent partnership: Develops a strong relationship with parents, building a reputation of trust.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Level 3 or above qualification within child development
- First Aid Certification required
- Minimum of 6 months experience of working with children under the age of 5
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
- Excellent communication skills

Terms and Conditions:
Salaries are usually reviewed in April. You will normally be eligible for a salary review after completing one year’s service.
