Accounts Receivable Assistant

The role of the Accounts Receivable Assistant is to be responsible for their own set of finance duties as outlined below, working under the direction of the Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Receivable Assistant must be capable of working unsupervised and managing their own key responsibilities to a highly detailed standard. The Accounts Receivable Assistant will also be expected to provide cover for the Accounts Payable Assistant in the event of any absence or leave.
- Daily reconciliation of debit/credit card transactions
- Daily reconciliation of all cash onsite
- Ensuring that all members of staff are adhering to the correct cash up procedure and suggesting possible ways of improvement
- Preparation of cash for daily banking
- Preparing change orders
- Weekly cash count and safe reconciliations
- Resolving card payment queries with all departments
- Redeeming and reconciliating of gift vouchers
- Monthly stock take preparation and completion
- Aged Debtors reconciliations- Ensuring all documentation is completed to the agreed standard and timescale and that an effective system is in place for the filing, storage and retrieval of all documents
- Other adhoc tasks specified by the Finance Manager
- Tasks to cover the Accounts Receivable Assistant as required
**Skills and Experience required**:
The successful Management Accountant will be proven in a similar level role, as well as being well organised and proactive, with a high level of attention to detail. Strong excel skills are required.
Ideally you will have people management experience and hotel/leisure industry experience.
Preferably fully AAT qualified or working towards
Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential
**Salary, Terms & Benefits**:
- Monday to Friday - 08:30am to 16:30pm (37.5 hours a week)
- School hours may be considered
- £25,000-£30,000 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications
- 28 days annual leave (inc bank holidays)
