Marcegaglia Stainless Sheffield has three sites across Sheffield, and they include our own Melting Shop called SMACC (Stainless Melting and Continuous Casting), that produces semi-finished products such as slabs, billets, blooms and ingots; ASR (Alloy Steel Rods), our rolling mill that produces wire rod, bar and rebar and SSB (Sheffield Stainless Bar), our bar finishing unit.

**Job Details**

As part of our ongoing growth, we have an opportunity for a Team Worker within our Refractories team.

**Responsibilities**
- Providing a safe, flexible and efficient refractory maintenance service to the stainless steel melting shop, including wrecking and re-bricking steel making equipment.
- Actively participating in and promote the continuous improvement programme within the refractories department.
- Driving heavy machinery as well as forklift trucks, full training will be given accordingly.

**You will**:

- Be trained to City and Guilds level 2 in bricklaying or similar.
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of bricklaying activities.
- Be willing to work flexibly in a team to meet the operational demands of the business.
- Previous experience of working in the steel industry is desirable.

**Additional Information**

The refractories team work on a rotational shift pattern of mornings 06:00-14:00 and afternoons, 13:00-21:00. Once you have started your employment with us you will be provided with the following benefits:
