We have an exciting opportunity in Rochester, Kent, for a Maintenance Engineer to work for our client who specialises in the supply of construction materials and services. This is a day shift, with a rotating shift pattern.

Working 48 hours per week, the working hours for this role are:
**Week one: 06:00 to 14:00 Monday-Friday**

**Week two: 14:00 to 22:00 Monday-Thursday and 12:00 to 18:00 Friday**

Our client is offering an excellent salary of up to £48,000 depending on experience and skill set, plus overtime.

**As the Maintenance Engineer your responsibilities would include**:

- Ensure plant and facilities are maintained to high standards
- Ensure plant downtime meets targets whilst maintaining safety
- Manage and improve plant and facilities
- Ensuring work complies to SHE guidelines
- Manage and maintain engineering stores including stock assessment and inventory levels
- Report and record all work
- Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders
- Assist with the implementation of engineering solutions and cost-effective repairs
- Support production and maintenance teams
- Other duties as deemed reasonable

**Person Specification**:

- Qualified NVQ level 3 minimum
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience of TPM and PPM systems
- Good SHE awareness
- 18th edition Wiring regulations
- Good fault-finding skills
- Experience with Siemens / Allen Bradley systems
- Good IT skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willing to work towards continuous improvement
