An exciting role for a Health, Safety and Fire Officer to join Atalian Servest to support the delivery of a national engineering contract with Scottish Police Authority (SPA).

The role will be principle point of contact for all contract health, safety and fire matters and have direct oversight and management of critical workstreams in Fire Risk assessments and Asbestos programme delivery, as well as other statutory programmeswithin the Hard FM estate. The role will forge close partnerships and relationships within Police Scotland overseeing to completion stage and quality control of delivery programmes, trends and outcomes and supplier relationship management in each workstream.

**Job Title: Health, Safety and Fire Officer**

**Contract: Permanent, Full-Time**

**Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 16:30**

**Location: Glasgow / Edinburgh / Dundee Atalian Servest Office**

**Your primary responsibilities will include**:

- Oversight of fire risk assessment programme across Police Scotland facilities.
- Reporting of fire risk assessment outcomes, remedial findings, and task status.
- Conduct quality checks on completed inspections and works.
- Co Ordinate, schedule and prepare documentation for fire risk assessment inspections
- Appointed Person for all fire management contract deliverables
- Oversight of asbestos management programmes
- Monitor and report on the presence and quality of relevant H&S documentation such as risk assessments, policies and toolbox talk and the extent to which they are effectively implemented and achieve suitable levels of control. This includes fire risk assessmentsand the extent to which the controls it specifies are being implemented and maintained.
- Advise senior and operational managers of the effectiveness of H&S procedures.
- Facilitate safety action group across the contract and promote safety culture
- Support project delivery teams on CDM matters across the contract
- Auditing of engineering and sub-contractor works and ensure outcomes are reported and advice issued for effective resolution.
- Ensure programme of required immunisations is implemented where required.
- Contract reporting to the Account Director.
- Support the wider delivery teams in training, learning and development.

**About You**:

- Must hold NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion Technician status with recognised bodies - IFSM/IFPO/IFE would be preferred.
- Thorough up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation and best practice. Experience of working within high secure facilities such as police, fire, prison, or courts advantageous
- Hold a full driving license
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have good client-facing, people management and IT skills.
- Good understanding and experience of Microsoft Office software packages and general IT knowledge.
- Experience in using CAFM or other management systems.
- This position will be based from the Glasgow, Edinburgh or Dundee Atalian Servest Office; however, the role holder may be required to travel to other offices and client sites as required. _
- Core working hours for this position are from 08:00 until 16:30, however late start or late finish is rotational with other team members as part of helpdesk rota._
- Security Clearance to NPPV/2, or Non-Police Personnel Vetting to Level 2 required to be undertaken_
