**We are working with a market leading scientific instrument manufacturing business based in East Sussex who are looking for aJunior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding team. Their products are primarily used for electron microscopy (EM) sample preparation, therefore previous vacuum system design experience is essential for the position in additionto working knowledge of Solidworks.**
**Junior Mechanical Design Engineer**
- You will be producing 3D models and 2D CAD drawings to customer specifications
- You will create CAD BOM’S and assembly structures, following this you will allocate new part numbers from development models for new products.
- Some customisation projects may be required for certain end users.
- Accurate and concise reporting of failure forecasts, past results and departmental KPI’s.

**Junior Mechanical Design Engineer**
**Essential Skills/Experience/Qualification Required**:

- Due to the role including occasional travel to supplier and customer sites, a valid driving licence and passport is essential.
- Mechanical engineering qualification or similar
- Working knowledge of solidworks
- Vacuum System Design experience
- Strong communication and time management skills

**Junior Mechanical Design Engineer**
**Desired Skills/Experience/Qualification Required**:

- Experience in LN2 cooled systems and conductive coating technology would be advantageous
