Job Overview:
Join our team at EWI Store as a Warehouse Operator, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for materials handling, stock management, utilising Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), loading and unloading shipments, demonstrating mechanical knowledge, managing shipping and receiving processes, performing heavy lifting tasks, and engaging in picking and packing duties.

**Responsibilities**:
**Receiving and unloading incoming shipments**: Warehouse operators are responsible for receiving and unloading incoming shipments from suppliers or carriers. This involves verifying the contents of the shipment, checking for damage or defects, and signing for delivery.

**Picking and packing orders**:Warehouse operators are responsible for picking and packing customer orders. This involves locating the correct items in the warehouse, verifying the quantity and quality, and packing them securely for shipment.

**Mixing Sample**:Render Mixers are responsible for mixing the render as per the order in an effective and efficient manner. Making sure the correct order has been dispersed by checking the labels.

**Shipping and loading outgoing shipments**:Warehouse operators are responsible for preparing outgoing shipments for delivery. This involves labelling packages, completing paperwork, and loading them onto delivery trucks or other transportation vehicles.

**Inventory management**:Warehouse operators are responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking inventory levels, and reporting any discrepancies or issues.

**Equipment maintenance**:Warehouse operators are responsible for maintaining warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery. This includes performing routine maintenance and reporting any issues or malfunctions.

**Safety and security**: Warehouse operators are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure working environment. This includes following safety procedures, reporting safety hazards or incidents, and monitoring the warehouse for unauthorised access or theft.

**Customer Service**: Prioritise customers service and be a point of contact for customer queries when they come to the shop for collection.

Support the mixing team in preparing renders and paints using warehouse machinery.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge for operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage inventory effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00 per year
