**ENGAGEMENT WORKER REQUIRED IN WEST CORNWALL - Sessional work**
**White Gold Cornwall **works with children, young people, and adults across the whole of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly providing 1:1 mentoring to help them navigate life’s challenges.
We aim to support, guide and, if appropriate, challenge young people who:
- Are vulnerable or at risk.
- Present unacceptable or challenging behaviour.
- Are excluded from, or failing to engage in, education.
- Lack confidence, self-esteem and/or social skills.
- Are involved, or at risk of becoming involved, with the Law.
We are looking for a paid **Engagement Worker** in West Cornwall (particularly to cover Truro and surrounding areas) for a few hours or more a week to engage informally with children and young people e.g., a country walk, coffee, and chat, sharing hobbies, visiting local museums, swimming, sports, etc.
You would be fully trained and insured by us to work safely with young people. You will need to hold a full UK driving license and have access to your own car. The successful applicant would also need to obtain Business Car Insurance.
As well as your own transport, the most important qualities needed are patience, a sense of humour, and a commitment to supporting vulnerable children and young people in a non-judgemental mentoring role.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance
**Salary**: £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
