**Role Description**

We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Warehouse Assistant to join our engaged and friendly team in the timber yard at our Ladbroke Grove branch — one of the busiest and most vibrant in the network.

In this important role, you’ll help keep the yard running smoothly, support customers with collections, manage stock safely and efficiently, and contribute to a positive working environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver excellent customer service with prompt assistance in the timber yard
- Handle timber products with care and store them correctly to avoid damage
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently using a forklift
- Report stock issues or breakages to your manager
- Keep the timber yard clean, safe, and well-organised
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow all health & safety procedures
- Report any damage to racking or safety equipment
- Support your team with general yard and warehouse duties
- Occasionally make deliveries using a company van (full UK driving licence required)

**Salary**: £30,159 per annum

Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7am-12pm alternate Saturdays

Holiday: 23 days per year plus Bank Holidays

**Requirements**:

- Forklift Truck licence (essential)
- Experience operating a forklift in a busy yard or warehouse (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential) - for occasional deliveries
- At least 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or yard role
- Confidence in manual handling and understanding of health & safety procedures
- Good level of English and maths
- Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
- Willing to learn and support other parts of the business when needed
- Experience working in a timber yard or builders merchant (desirable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,159.00 per year
