Join our charming wine shop located on the picturesque Bermondsey Street, where we pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of wines, fine spirits, premium cigars, and exquisite flowers from our sister company. We create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests, complete with open samples and personalised service.

Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Shop Assistant to join our small team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, sharing your wine and spirits expertise, and ensuring a delightful shopping experience for our guests. As you’ll often be working independently, confidence and strong communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist customers with a warm, friendly demeanor.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on our range of wines, spirits, cigars, and flowers.
- Offer samples to customers to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean, well-organised, and visually appealing shop environment.
- Manage inventory and restock shelves as needed.
- Process transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Participate in weekly training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Uphold the high standards of customer service that set us apart from the competition.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in retail or hospitality, in the food and beverage or wine industry.
- A passion for wine, spirits, and customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence to work independently in a small team setting.
- Willingness to learn and grow through training and self-education.
- Flexibility to work on weekdays, weekends, and evenings as needed.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
